Hotel Gong System

A battery change is necessary when the GONG System's "triple tone gong" is not audible. The battery compartment can only be opened with the enclosed magnet (Figure D)

* Remove protective covering from the magnet

* Place the active (green) side of the magnet above the HGS logo and press firmly down to open the battery cover. It may be necessary to simultaneously press firmly on the left-center of the cover to unlock the battery compartment.

* When the cover is unlocked, an audible "click" will be heard and the battery can be removed.

* Install the new battery as described in Step 6 of Installation of Door mounting.

Mini-Bar Indicator System (MBI)

* The cover on the minibar transmitter has an opening in the bottom

* Insert the key (Figure H) in the opening of the cover. As the key is inserted, an initial stop will be encountered, press again to release the locking mechanism. Now the cover can be removed.

* To remove the cover, pull the lower part outward approximately 1/2 inch and the lift it upward until it is released.

* To remove the battery push it downward and then take it out.

* Install the new battery as described in Step 5 of "Installation - Mini-Bar Indicator (MBI)"

* Close the system as described in Step 8 .
