INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MINIBAR INDICATOR

1. Carefully unpack the transmitter (Figure 10) and do not contact the electronic component.

2. Mount the transmitter on the outside of the minibar door at the opposite side of the door's pivot-point

3. Remove the two adhesive strips (Figure 11) and place the transmitter firmly in a vertical direction as indicated.

4. If the transmitter is installed on wooden doors, you may additionally attach the transmitter with the included hardware by using the Philips screwdriver (Figure F). The mounting opening is below the four(4) diodes (Figure 12)

5. Insert the 9 Volt Lithium battery into the battery compartment. Ensure the battery polarities are correct. The negative (-) terminal of the battery must be to the right as the battery is inserted. Once the battery is installed, the red LED will illuminate.

The MiniBar Transmitter will not function if the battery is installed incorrectly.

6. To ensure the proper adjustment of the transmitter unit, the minibar door must be closed. Use the 2.0mm Allen Head Wrench (Figure G) to turn the potentiometer (Figure 13) clockwise until the red LED is off. Then continue to turn clockwise for another 90 degrees or 1/4 of a turn.

To check the function of the transmitter, open the minibar door and red LED will illuminate for a short period. If the LED does not illuminate, turn the potentiometer counterclockwise until the red LED is on while the door is open or moving. When the door is closed, the LED will not illuminate if the potentiometer is properly adjusted.

Observe - When the door is closed, the red LED must be off.

7. Direct the transmitter-diode (Figure 14) with the diode-adjustment tool (Figure E) towards the Hotel Gong System in the room door to make sure the infrared signal reaches the receiver.

8. Place the cover of the transmitter unit (Figure 15). Position the cover carefully on the top of the transmitter unit and carefully pull it downwards. Then press the cover firmly to the unit to close it. An audible "click" will be heard when the cover is in proper position and is locked in the place.

The MiniBar-Transmitter is now functional.
